Your Host: John Blacker
John started his love of travel before he ever left home. Laying on the floor looking at pictures of ancient Mayan pyramids as a youngster made him long for adventures. Since those early days as a boy, he has traveled extensively and been able to do many humanitarian projects in Mexico and Guatemala. Which has given him the opportunity to visit those pyramids throughout Central America. He has also made many friends as he has led tours and cruises.
Along with travel came the chance to capture parts of this beautiful planet in pictures. To gain more knowledge he has enjoyed his association with Christopher Balmer, his teacher and mentor as he learns more about this fascinating hobby.
He and his wife, Mary, have led many tours for groups with special needs and have enjoyed the wonder of helping them enjoy new places. They have 3 married children and 8 wonderful grandchildren. They call Idaho Falls home and, and upon his retirement, John has enjoyed more time to do his favorite things.
