Australia, Bali and Beijing Tour – June 12-27, 2018

Join Alan McKay on a one-time itinerary taking in some incredible destinations. Fly non-stop to Sydney, Australia from Los Angeles and discover this amazing city. Next is a short, non-stop flight to Perth, Australia home to scenery, animals and beaches. Next another non-stop flight takes you to a beach resort in exotic Bali, Indonesia. Next fly to Beijing, China for the Great Wall and sites there. Finally, a non-stop flight takes you back to Los Angeles. Wow!

Itinerary:

June 12 – Travel to Los Angeles and board your non-stop flight to Sydney, Australia leaving late tonight.

June 13 – Cross the International Date Line en route to Australia.

June 14 – Welcome to Australia! Your hotel is located across the street from the airline terminal. Enjoy an optional afternoon excursion with Alan over at Darling Harbor after a fun train ride from the hotel. There you will have the afternoon and evening free to do the Sydney Aquarium, Maritime Museum, or just relax at a restaurant and enjoy the view.

June 15 – Today join the group on a half day tour of Sydney which will include the world famous Sydney Opera house, the Rocks and other highlights of Sydney. Overnight in Sydney.

June 16 – Relax this morning before a short, midday flight to Perth, Australia. This capital of Western Australia sits where the Swan River meets the coast. Perth will be your home for the next three nights and your hotel is located directly across the street from the beach.

June 17 – Enjoy a 2 ½ hour scenic river cruise of Perth. As you depart the city center, admire Perth riverfront attractions like the Bell Tower and King’s Park, and glide past pretty suburbs to reach Fremantle, located where the river meets the Indian Ocean.

June 18 – A fun packed adventure awaits you at Caversham Wildlife Park where you get to feed kangaroos and get up close to koalas. You will fall in love with the local wombats.

June 19 – Take a relatively short flight today from Perth to exotic Bali, Indonesia. Bali is known for its stunning beaches, rice paddy fields and volcanic mountains. Your beachfront resort will be a great place to relax and enjoy the next three nights.

June 20 – Explore Bali and relax at your resort. (Breakfast)

June 22 – Today you will fly from Bali to Beijing, China with a plane change in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Upon arrival in Beijing, transfer to your hotel to overnight. (Breakfast)

June 23 – Today you will visit the Forbidden City which was built in the 15th century. The Forbidden City includes the Imperial Palace which was the residence of the emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Later you will walk on the 98-acre quadrangle of Tiananmen Square, which is one of the largest public squares in the world. Tonight enjoy an optional Chinese acrobatic show. You will be amazed at the acrobatic skills demonstrated in the performances. (Breakfast, Lunch)

June 24 – Winding across deserts, grasslands, mountains and plateaus, the Great Wall of China stretches over 4,000 miles. Today as you experience climbing a section of the Great Wall, marvel at its size and grandeur. Not far from the wall you will explore the Ming tomb area and stroll down the path of the Sacred Way of the Animals. Then, back to the hotel and it’s time for an optional foot massage. (Breakfast, Lunch)

June 25 – The Temple of Heaven is first on our agenda today and is located in a beautiful park. Elderly Chinese come by the thousands daily to exercise and to participate in Chinese cultural activities. Most tourists find themselves participating in the middle of these activities with the local Chinese. In the afternoon, experience a Hutong Tour, and take a glimpse into the world of yesterday while being pedaled through the narrow streets on bicycle-pedaled rickshaws. You will see how neighborhoods in Old China existed and how they are preserved in the middle of a modern city today. (Breakfast, Lunch)

June 26 – Head over to see some pandas at the Beijing zoo! This afternoon you’ll pay a visit to the Summer Palace which is listed as one of the world UNESCO World Heritage Sites and ranked as one of the finest classical gardens in the world. Nearby learn about China’s fresh water pearls and visit one of the largest pearl showrooms on the planet. (Breakfast, Lunch)

June 27 – Relax and enjoy a nice breakfast this morning. An non-stop afternoon flight will take you back to Los Angeles with arrivals this afternoon. (Breakfast)
