Itinerary:

August 5 – Fly from Denver on a late-afternoon 6.5 hour flight non-stop to Iceland!

August 6 – Iceland- Arrive in Iceland at 6:30am (midnight back home) and transfer to hotel for a few hours rest.  Afternoon tour of Iceland planned.

You will be picked up from your hotel and taken on a guided coach tour of Reykjavik’s famed Golden Circle. The tour will visit the following places:

• Gullfoss waterfall: This is the queen of Iceland’s waterfalls, tumbling down a deep gorge.

• Geysir hot spring area: You can walk around the world-famous Geysir area, a geothermal field where hot springs are in abundance, geysers explode and pools of mud bubble.
• Þingvellir National Park: This is the place of the most historic events in Iceland and exceptional beauty. Þingvellir is the original site of the oldest existing parliament in the world, the Alþingi. The Great Atlantic rift is clearly visible, a rift which is slowly pulling Iceland apart along tectonic plates.• The Geysir Museum: This is a main feature of this area, an informative multimedia exhibition that vividly shows how the forces of nature shaped the country and the people.

After your day of touring, you will transfer to the airport for your night flight non-stop to Copenhagen, Denmark.  (Breakfast)

August 7 - Copenhagen, Denmark – Arrive in Copenhagen and get ready for a city tour before heading down to your cruise ship! Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, is an elegant city, rich in history and tradition. Castles and crown jewels, galleries and museums, cathedrals and canals – sightseeing in this city is fascinating. After your city tour, board your cruise ship – the Royal Caribbean Vision of the Seas. (Cruise Meals)

August 9 - Inverness/Loch Ness, Scotland - Known around the world for the Loch Ness Monster, more affectionately known as Nessie, this destination has so much more to offer than just this legend. Scenic beauty of high green hills and sparkling lochs will captivate while visits to the Cawdor Castle, from Macbeth fame, and Culloden Battlefield will take you back in time. (Cruise Meals)

August 11 - Glasgow, Scotland - Known as one of Europe’s most exciting destinations, Glasgow is a city filled with sophistication, music, art and a cosmopolitan flair. Glasgow is believed to have begun in medieval times as a monastery, and is founded on a maritime heritage, but the Glasgow of today offers an amazing live music scene, museums and galleries, and friendly people that will make your visit downright fun. August 12 - Dublin, Ireland - Originally founded as a Viking settlement, the Dublin of today is vibrant, full of culture and history. As the capital of Ireland, Dublin is a thriving modern city that is also filled with history and elegance. August 13 - Cork, Ireland - Navigate Cork’s hilly streets and discover the melody of Ireland’s most talkative citizenry, who have a way of making conversation. Visit local artisans and witness their skills in the arts of weaving and cutting crystal. (Cruise Meals)

August 14 - Enjoy a relaxing day at sea. (Cruise Meals)

August 15 – Dover, England – The majestic White Cliffs of Dover reign high and edge this small seaside village – renowned for its rich history, natural beauty and pastoral charm. Often called the Gateway to England, sea passage through Dover Straight offers breathtaking views of a coastline that has been a pivotal site in European history. August 17 – Arrive back in Copenhagen, Denmark and transfer to the airport for your afternoon flight back to Denver.

The book details his years living and working in Russia as a covert agent.  A pseudo archeologist and history buff, Bonnie lectures on the fascinating, recent discoveries of the early civilizations of North America.  Come join Mike and Bonnie for a trip of a lifetime.
