Paris holds a special romance in the hearts of people worldwide. The Eiffel Tower with all of its history, the Arch of Triumph, and tasty French cuisine and fashion. Along with Paris, take in the French Rivera with its stunning coastal shores and the mysterious destination of Monaco. End the trip by taking the famed Eurostar Train into London for sightseeing – Royal style!
Itinerary:
September 19 – Depart your hometown for a fantastic trip of a lifetime to France and England!
September 20 - After arrival in Nice, France, transfer to the hotel for overnight. Dinner in the hotel. (D)
September 21 – Nice – Antibes – Cannes – Grasse – Nice - After breakfast, you will start your full day tour. This tour departs from your hotel in Nice and your first stop is in the beautiful town of Antibes before you continue along the coastal road to Cannes. In Cannes you will the famous Croisette and the Palace of Film where the International Film Festival is held. The ‘Croisette’ is fringed by fine sandy beaches, much of them taken over as private beaches by the large hotels, and it is there that the prestigious receptions and parties take place during the Cannes Festival. The tour finishes with a visit of a perfume factory in Grasse, home of perfume making. After the tour you will return to Nice for overnight. Dinner in the hotel. (B,D)
September 22 – Nice – Monte Carlo – Eze – Nice - After breakfast you will have another day trip from Nice. Your day trip to Monaco and Eze will begin with a scenic drive along the Mediterranean coast. Stop to see the panoramic views over Nice from Mt Boron before visiting the medieval village of Eze, perched up high with craft shops and breathtaking views. While in Eze, you’ll take a guided tour of a traditional perfumery. You’ll then leave France and cross the border into Monaco, where your visit to the Old Town of Monte Carlo includes free time to see the palace (open June to October), the cathedral and the Cousteau Oceanographic Museum (additional cost). Continue your tour of Monte Carlo with a lap on the famous roads used for the Formula One Grand Prix. You will then have free time at Casino Square to do some luxury shopping, see the stunning gardens and mega-yachts in the harbor or simply watch beautiful people at play in their favorite haunt. You’ll then take a drive along the spectacular coastline of the Lower Corniche between Nice and Monaco, past tranquil villages, modern marinas and the Villefranche bay and citadel, as you return to your hotel in Nice. September 23 - Nice – Paris (TGV train) - After breakfast, transfer to the train station for your train to Paris. After arrival meet your local guide for a half day guided tour in Paris. In your Paris sightseeing tour you will see its magnificent monuments: the Champs-Elysees, Arc de Triomphe, Grands Boulevards, Opera, Concorde, Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum, Hotel de Ville, Notre-Dame Cathedral. After the tour, hotel check-in. Dinner in the hotel. (B,D)
September 24 – Paris - After breakfast, meet your local guide for your full day tour of Paris, which will include a Seine River Cruise and a panoramic view of Paris from the second floor of Eiffel Tower. In the afternoon you will have a guided tour in the Louvre Museum. After the tour, return to the hotel for overnight. Dinner in the hotel. (B,D)
September 25 - Paris – Versailles – Paris - After breakfast, transfer to Versailles. Meet your local guide for a half day tour. Visit the majestic Palace of Versailles, one of the world’s grandest historical museums. Discover the Royal Apartments, the Hall of Mirrors, the Queen`’s Chamber. After the tour, return to Paris. Your afternoon will be free for shopping. Dinner in the hotel. (B,D)
September 26 – Those not doing the extension to London fly home this morning and arrive home the same day.
Extension: London (EUROSTAR train) - After breakfast, transfer to the train station for your train to London. After arrival in London, transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day will be free for shopping. Dinner in the hotel. (B,D)
September 27 – Extension: London - After breakfast, meet your local guide for a full day guided tour in London. Admire the Buckingham Palace, the official London residence of the Queen. Get a magnificent view of the city from London Eye, one of the world largest observation wheels, situated on the South Bank of the Thames. Continue to Piccadilly Circus, one of the most photographed sights in London. Get to the Trafalgar Square and then to the famous Big Ben. Be impressed by Tower of London, the original royal fortress by the Thames. Dinner in the hotel. (B,D)
September 28 – Extension - Early morning departure for flights home. (B)
