Itinerary:
December 2 - Fly from Houston on an afternoon flight to Israel!
December 3 – Continue flight to Tel Aviv, Israel and arrive. Transfer to your hotel and get rested for the special days ahead.
December 4 – Sites today include the ruins of Caesarea where the Apostle Paul was tried, relive the battle of Elijah and the Priests of Baal at Mt. Carmel, view the valley of Armageddon at the ruins of Megiddo, Cana with its miracle of water to wine, and Nazareth with the glorious announcement of the Saviors birth. Overnight in Tiberius on the banks of the Sea of Galilee. (B,L,D)
December 5 – Today you will start your day at Mt. Tabor the site of Christ’s transfiguration. The highlight of the day will be a beautiful boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, and visit to Capernaum. Finish the day off at the Jordan River where Christ was baptized by John the Baptist. (B,L,D)
December 6 – Visit the largest Roman ruin in Israel Bet she’an. Next see your first view of Jerusalem from the Mt of Olives. Afternoon visit to Bethlehem with its Christmas story, the Church of the Nativity, and Shepherd’s Cave. (B,L,D)
December 7 – The city of Jerusalem is a holy center for the major religions of the world and is filled with immense history. Today you will see the Western Wall, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the Dome of the Rock, the Pools of Bethesda, Antonia’s Fortress, the room of the Last Supper, David’s Tomb, and so much more.(B,L,D)
December 8 – Today is a historical day as you visit the Israel Museum, the Shrine of the Book, the Holy Land Model, and Yad Vashem which is a touching Holocaust memorial site. Finish your day at the holy sites of Gethsemane and the Garden Tomb. (B,L,D)
December 9 – Travels south today and visit Qumran, site of the Dead Sea Scrolls and Masada with its sad story of rebellion. The view is stunning as you take a cable car ride to the top of Masada. Finish out the day at the Dead Sea where taking a “float” is a must! Travel back to Jerusalem this evening. (B,L,D)
December 10 – An early morning flight takes you back to Houston. There will be plenty of time for you to connect to flights back to your home city.
